Force Majeure presents a new workshop sharing tried and tested approaches for navigating consent, boundaries and intimacy in dance, movement and physical performance work environments. Learn how to participate in or lead safe, productive and artistically satisfying processes in creative spaces that are centered around the body.

Led by Force Majeure’s Artistic Director, Danielle Micich, these workshops are the convergence of over 30 years experience navigating physical intimacy as an artist, choreographer, movement director, and facilitator, and a decade of intimacy direction for film, television and theatre. This is a unique opportunity to learn how to integrate intimacy coordination methodologies with your existing physical practice.

This workshop series aims to establish a basis for standard-practice in physical and psychological safety for the dance and physical performance sectors, contributing to a robust and confident industry.

Be a part of industry learning in how to embed consent and emotional safety within practice for a rewarding and sustainable artistic process.

Content is focused around but not limited to:

  • Improvisation and contact improv

  • Ensemble contact work

  • Physical training
