IDK

Produced by Force Majeure and co-commissioned by Carriageworks and the City of Melbourne through Arts House.

Eora/Sydney 23-26 August 2023 & Naarm/Melbourne 30 August-2 September 2023

A mesmerising blend of movement and narrative, idk examines the private and public territories of the body throughout our lifetimes and the nuances of navigating consent.

As we recall the firsts that shape us, unpick experiences that get under our skin, and encounter delicate conversations between our bodies, idk encourages exploration of the unsure and unspoken in human interaction.

What do our bodies remember and hold? When are we in or out of control? How do we reconcile desire and shame, fear and fantasy, self and others, yes no maybe and I don’t know?

A brand-new performance piece in which three bodies interweave movement, memory and vocal roulette, idk invites audiences to discover the edges of their own boundaries, and provokes a new way to continue the conversation about multiple dimensions of consent.
