REGARDS, JANET

A Force Majeure & The Last Great Hunt Co-Production

We’re in an office. Any office, it doesn’t really matter. The kind with a water cooler. The kind where people write ‘as per my last email’ in a passive aggressive rage. It’s a carbon copy of every office you’ve ever worked in; paperclips lament becoming obsolete, cockroaches dance inappropriately, a sad fax machine gathers dust in the basement, and the squiggly red line of spell check points out your every flaw.

‘Regards, Janet’ is an ongoing communication between a team that works in an office - through movement, dialogue and image the show unties the knot of the ingrained systems of a workplace and examines how power is gained, maintained and destroyed… the lying, the stealing, the shape shifting showdowns… all with the robust and joyous energy of the office Christmas Party.

This funny, moving and energetic new ensemble work from Force Majeure and The Last Great Hunt will have you considering who holds the power and just how flimsy it is.

Force Majeure respectfully acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land, seas, waterways and skies where we work and we pay our respect to Elders both past and present. We recognise that our office is located on Gadigal Land. We are privileged to gather on this Country to share knowledge, culture, art and storytelling now, and with future generations.
