In the face of failing patriarchal structures, The Future Is… is a project that invites women to collaboratively imagine the possibility of something new; an intersectional approach to re-imaging our future with female-identifying voices at the core.

Liesel Zink, Roxanne McDonald and Ngoc Phan have been collaboratively creating a Pondershop Series (workshops) that gathers women in a safe and nurturing space where they have a cup of tea, embody ideas, creatively express and recognise the worth of feminine qualities that have traditionally been suppressed. The Future Is… pushes back against patriarchal structure through empowering women to reclaim their voices through a process of creative and collaborative imagining.

The Future Is…. has been developed as part of Force Majeure’s Associate Artist Program. It is also supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.

The Future is… is created by Liesel Zink in collaboration with Roxanne McDonald and Ngoc Phan with contributions of women from around Meanjin, Brisbane.
