Mura Buai heads to Turtle Island

It's all hands on deck here in the Force office as we prepare for a very exciting project - an international tour to Canada! We are so thrilled to be able to tour Ghenoa Gela's Mura Buai to Turtle Island in September this year.

Even more importantly, Ghenoa will be bringing together artists from the Torres Strait and Turtle Island to create a truly intercultural First Nations work for audiences in Ottawa and Toronto.

We have partnered with the amazing Aanmitaagzi and Friday Creeations to develop this new version of Ghenoa's work, and with presentation partners National Arts Centre and Native Earth Performing Arts.

We will be in residence at Big Medicine Studio for two weeks before heading for performance seasons at National Arts Centre, Ottawa (25-27 Sept), and on to Toronto for Native Earth's Caminos 2019 program (3-5 Oct).
