INCITE Youth

 

INCITE Youth is Force Majeure’s professional dance theatre program for young people aged 9 to 15 years. This is a unique opportunity for young performers who are interested in pursuing a career as a professional performing artist to work with one of Australia’s leading dance theatre companies.

The program has been developed by our Artistic Director, Danielle Micich and INCITE Youth Director Elle Evangelista to provide an introduction to dance theatre making, including developing skills in devising, and learning how to work with a director in a professional rehearsal environment.

THE PROGRAM
The one-week intensive program will include:

  • Daily physical warm-up and vocal training

  • Developing movement improvisation

  • Creating individual and group choreography

  • Combining movement with text

  • Feedback from Force Majeure INCITE Youth Director

WHO IS SUITABLE
INCITE Youth is best suited to young people aged 9-15 that have:

  • A passionate interest in pursuing a career as a professional artist

  • Demonstrated commitment to their dance and or drama

  • A creative flair 

  • An openness to learning and trying new things
