Tanja Farman is a presenter/ programmer, and producer. She was the Founder Director of queerupnorth in Manchester, which commissioned and presented many seminal works by both emerging and established performers from around the world, including Robert Pacitti, Diamanda Galas, Kiki & Herb and Ronnie Burkett.
Tanja was the Co-Creative Producer for the Commonwealth Games Cultural Programme 2002, a major Festival over four months. She has worked on a broad range of projects in both Europe and Australia including a high profile co-production of ‘Coming & Going for Liverpool European Capital of Culture 2008.
Tanja has presented numerous Australian artists and companies in the UK including William Yang, Sydney Theatre Company, Tanja Liedtke, Chunky Move, Lucy Guerin Inc, Paul Capsis and David Page. She is currently Producer at Performance Space @Carriageworks. Immediately prior to this she worked with Australian choreographers Meryl Tankard and Shaun Parker.
She has held various advisory positions at Arts Council of England and the British Council (Drama & Dance) and in 2004 was awarded a prestigious NESTA (National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts) Fellowship.
Tanja sits also on the Board of award winning London based moti roti and Urban Theatre Projects.
